I’m convinced that I have THE BEST friends in the whole world. By far, they are the most encouraging and talented people I know! Such are thoughts I have about Katie Manero of KT Crabb Photography. When I met Katie nearly a decade ago, she had a different last name and we mostly shared crazy nights in campus ministry filled with endless Stupid Ninja Games, far too much Mountain Dew, and a whole bunch of laughter and Jesus. What a JOY it has been to watch her flourish into an incredibly talented artist these last few years!
When I first hopped into the sparkly role of running Dishie, I reached out to a small group of friends from college and high school who were in the industry. Katie intentionally and immediately spoke encouragement and excitement into my life as I jumped into this new endeavor and even invited me to be a part of her “Rustic, Ethereal” styled shoot.
This was my first shoot and not only did I have a BLAST working with some amazing vendors, but the shoot was later published on Style Me Pretty. WHAT. A. DREAM!
The whole idea around this shoot was showcasing natural Florida and highlighting the drama and beauty of our commonplace nature. It was the idea that Florida weddings don’t have to look like white sandy beaches, palm trees, and neon bright colors, but could look more like Spanish moss, acres of pine trees, and endless pretty lakes. It’s the Florida that Floridians know and live in – darker, murky colors and scrub forest as far as the eye can see – and really raw, natural beauty.
Isn’t the result just stunning?!
