There is NOT a single show I am MORE excited about right now than Martha & Snoop’s Potluck Dinner Party. Have you heard?!
Our fearless leader in the world of creative, properly Southern hosting, Miss Martha Stewart herself, has paired with the King of Smooth Rap, the illustrious Snoop Dogg and I. AM. THRILLED.
I so strongly believe in hosting through flexibility, fun, and casuality as a means to making guests feel welcome and at home, and I can’t wait to see how these two walk that very precious line while hosting phenomenal, beautiful dinners as well.
Were Martha asking ME – here are all the pieces I would use to set their table for this fun potluck dinner!
Beautiful Vintage Champagne Coupes
…because it’s Snoop Dogg, he’s going to pop the champagne at some point! Or at least need place to pour some gin & juice. 😉 Celebrate!
Depression Era Vintage Colored Glasses
…instant color on the table and always endless amounts of fun! Plus, it gives guests the ability to interact and admire each others’ diverse glassware, easy icebreaker – BOOM.
Mismatched Vintage Silver Flatware
…I’d recommend just setting a full four-piece setting because you never know what utensils you’re going to need at a potluck. And it’s prettier. For rizzle.
There you have it! A potluck table set by Dishie – now to just wait for my invite from Snoop & Martha!
Will you be watching Monday?!? How can you not?!
Be it National Donut Day (a personal fav!), Best Friends Day, Dog Day, or my husband’s birthday (Aug 11th!) – there is ALWAYS something to celebrate in this world. And how lovely and wonderful to make a habit of celebrating life! So today, I’m celebrating my 2-MONTH ownership of Dishie!
WHAT. A. WHIRLWIND.
In the past TWO months, Dishie has:
booked 11 events (11, y’all!!!)
met with 9 amazing brides, planners, and hostesses
hosted a summer book club with 7 other women, challenging each other to exercise our vulnerability and creativity
hosted 4 themed tables at the My Dream Wedding Expo at the Hilton Altamonte
participated in 3 styled shoots (with another 4 on the calendar!)
hosted 2 glamorous baby shower tea parties
and filled this incredibly blessed gal with ONE GRATEFUL HEART.
Earlier this year, I decided to live in the faithful pursuit of that which brings great love, life and joy into my life. And then God brought Dishie along! And I have loved EVERY MINUTE so far; what a dream!
Brene Brown writes, “To love someone fiercely, to believe in something with your whole heart, to celebrate a fleeting moment in time, to fully engage in a life that doesn’t come with guarantees – these are risks that involve vulnerability and often pain. But, I’m learning that recognizing and leaning into the discomfort of vulnerability teaches us how to live with joy, gratitude and grace.”
― Brene Brown, The Gifts of Imperfection: Let Go of Who You Think You’re Supposed to Be and Embrace Who You Are
So here I am, with my vulnerable heart, daring greatly and dreaming big dreams for Dishie’s future while filled with incredible joy, gratitude, and grace. There’s no place I’d rather be. And I’m just getting going – so hold on tight! I can’t wait for what’s ahead and rejoice greatly in all the beauty, life, and fun that has surrounded me so far.
ON BEAUTY // Last month my sweet college galpal Katie Manero, the talented genius behind KT Crabb Photography, invited me to participate in an Ethereal Styled Shoot at her grandparents’ lake house in Umatilla. We had the most fun creating this GORGEOUS shoot together, and I’ve got a couple exclusive pics straight off the press, just for you! Enjoy!

There’s a lot to celebrate around here! Today, America takes a break to grill out, battle Martha Stewart for best pie, and celebrate the wonders of our nation. It’s good to be an American!
However, today I am also celebrating my first month owning Dishie! Whew! That month flew by! I have been so blessed to have best family and wedding vendor friends – “friend-ors” if you will – by my side to offer such quality advice, wisdom, and encouragement as I work hard to say “Hello Again, Dishie!”
This month I have:
participated in my first wedding expo
attended EIGHT client meetings
collaborated with 4 other local wedding vendors in a GORGEOUS stylized photo shoot
relaunched a new IG account for @dishierentals (and have over 300 followers already, you guys are the best!)
posted 2 blog posts
launch my first Dishie SALE (25% off ends July 31st, so book now!)
built 3 bookcase for extra storage
… and washed and organized TONS of the prettiest mismatched vintage china you ever did see!
It has been a whirlwind of a month (do you see all that ^^^ ?!) but I have been loving every single bit and am just so grateful.
So happy 240 years America, and Happy One Month of Dishie to me!
This fall season is going to be amazing, I know it! Dishie already has some killer events lined up, like…
another stylized wedding photo shoot – Mexican themed!
sponsorship of an anniversary party and new venue launch for one of Orlando’s most beloved businesses (TBA soon!)
sponsorship of Snap & Flutter, a workshop hosted by the amazing Andi Mans and her incredible team
… and a few of Orlando’s most gorgeous weddings and parties, of course!
So stay tuned – I can’t wait to share with you all the pretty details and gush over the gorgeous table settings!
Speaking of… how about a pic of a lovely 4th of July table decorated by Dishie!
And because I love you, here’s a little teaser of the photoshoot we did in Umatilla! Enjoy!
Happy Memorial Day weekend lovelies! I’m off to Washington DC, the perfect place to commemorate the holiday! I wanted to leave you with some Memorial Day decoration ideas for your family barbecue. Hope you have a restful weekend full of family and watermelon! xo
These are from our family luncheon in Palm Beach last year with Gray’s family. Something tells me I’m going to be missing the ocean breeze at this year’s celebration!
Blue and white is one of my absolute FAVORITE combinations. It’s so fresh, clean and sweet. For a spring wedding, I don’t think it gets any more perfect than this!
